Part of the education record, known as directory information, includes personal information about a student that can be made public according to a school system's student records policy. Directory information may include a student's name, address, and telephone number, and other information typically found in school yearbooks or athletic programs. Students in urban and urban high poverty schools were just as likely as their non-urban counterparts to be offered and to participate in certain programs and courses, with the following exceptions: they were more likely than their rural counterparts to have attended preschool, and they were less likely than most other groups to have attended.
